Therefore, the employees unions want the government to form a new pay commission so that their salary can be increased.

Supporting this demand, the National Council of Staff Side and the All India Employees Federation have prepared to demand the formation of a new pay commission from the new government. The Indian Railway Technical Supervisor Association has also written a letter to the government in this regard.

If a new pay commission is formed, the fitment factor will increase to 3.68. With this, the minimum salary can increase to Rs 26,000. However, this can be implemented from January 1, 2026. This has not been officially confirmed yet.

However, the central government has given a statement in the Parliament several times before that there is no thought on the next pay commission at the moment. But after the continuous demand by the employee unions, the government will have to consider it.
