According to sources and media reports, the government will give subsidy on gas cylinders to all consumers, not only to the beneficiaries of Ujjwala Yojana.
Extension of Ujjwala Yojana
As of now, only women living below the poverty line are availing the benefit of a subsidy of Rs 300 on gas cylinders under the Ujjwala scheme. Under this scheme, the cost of a gas cylinder is Rs 903, but after subsidy they have to pay only Rs 603.
Now, the government is going to extend the benefit of this subsidy to all consumers. Earlier also there was a time when all people used to get subsidy on gas cylinders, but later this scheme was stopped.
Free gas cylinder announced
Apart from this, the government is going to announce three gas cylinders free in a year to the beneficiary women of Ujjwala Yojana. This proposal was started by the Rajasthan government, and now women of other states are also demanding it.

After the election results, the government is expected to make more big announcements. According to sources, the price of gas cylinders can be reduced by Rs 100 to Rs 300. This will provide relief to poor families from inflation.
