One militant killed, one jawan martyred in Pulwama encounter

In Pulwama, security forces have gunned down a terrorist in an encounter between security forces and militants in Kamajipora area of Pulwama district since Wednesday morning while one Jawan was also martyred. It is believed that more terrorists are still trapped in the siege of security forces, who are being operated by security forces to kill them.

Security forces were reported to have been hiding militants in an orchard in Kamerjipora area of Pulwama district. Based on the information, army, police and CRPF Jawans launched a combing operation to nab the militants. During the search operation, the militants started firing on the security forces after which the encounter started.

In the encounter, security forces gunned down a terrorist. One Jawan has also been martyred. Security forces have recovered a 47, grenade as well as other objectionable items along with the body of the terrorist.

It is believed that more terrorists are still trapped in the siege of security forces, who are continuing their work to kill them. The encounter between the security forces and the militants was continuing till the news was written.
