Lieutenant Governor opens Treasury for development of J&K releases funds as well as instructions
The government has become active in full force to ensure comprehensive development in Jammu and Kashmir. 50 lakh as the first instalment of joint grant to all deputy commissioners of the state to expedite the completion of various works of public utility, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha during his visit to Baramulla district of North Kashmir on Wednesday.In the meantime, he has immediately sanctioned an amount of Rs. 21 crore for construction of a jetty bridge stuck for the last 22 years and has asked for completion within two years. He also laid the foundation stone for several development schemes.
The lieutenant governor inspected the government medical of Baramulla and took stock of the ongoing construction work. It is being constructed at an estimated cost of Rs. 139 crore and will be completed by July 2021. He instructed the concerned agencies to expedite the pace of work. The construction work was stuck for a long time.
After reviewing the development works of the District, he instructed the officials to prepare district capex schemes so that the allocation could be used in an efficient manner. Taking serious note of the inadvertent delay in issuing the Domissile certificate, the lieutenant Governor directed the officials to ensure issuance of domissile certificates for beneficiaries without the need for additional documents. The lieutenant Governor directed the officials to give special attention to improving the system for timely redressal of public grievances. He said that all the services of the central government on agriculture, horticulture, cattle and sheep rearing are availed by the local people. For this, the officers have to pay special attention.
